Tell us about your business:
The law firm people trust throughout their lives.
At Jones Whyte, we have one simple aim, to be there for you, resolving your needs and giving you the legal support and help you need, at every stage of your life. We do this by responding quickly, offering clear, straightforward legal advice that gives you clarity and peace of mind. Wherever possible, we remove the complexity, explain everything in easy-to-understand language and make sure you always know what is happening.
We also understand the need for total cost transparency, and with this in mind, will always provide you with a clear price before we start. We make sure there are no hidden surprises or costs.
Finally, we don’t believe in a ‘one service fits all’ approach. We recognise that everyone is different and pride ourselves in making sure we understand you and your individual circumstances. So, whatever your need, at whatever stage of your life, we will listen, get to know you and your situation and give you the help, advice and support you need.

Who we are
Driven by a desire to create the very best law firm, with its clients and its people at the heart of what it does, Ross Jones and Greg Whyte established Jones Whyte in 2013. Since then, the firm has grown year-on-year and today is recognised as one of the leading law firms in Scotland with over 170 solicitors, legal executives and professional business support staff.
Although a Scottish firm, based in Glasgow and with clients across the whole of Scotland, we also provide support and help to clients across England and Wales.
Our people
We recognise that the service we give is only as good as our solicitors and the people who work for us. That’s why we pride ourselves on our team of legal experts and on recruiting people who not only have the necessary blend of experience and knowledge, but have the same ethos and belief in putting clients first and providing a service which exceeds expectations.
Our teams combine empathy and understanding with legal expertise and a real desire to resolve and provide help and support. More information on our experienced team can be found here.
Our fees
We understand the need for cost transparency and will always clearly explain the price for each service before we start. We also understand that clients may be in difficult financial circumstances when they approach us and, with this in mind, have developed a range of payment options which allow you to decide which service, at what cost, is best for you.
Our team will explain things clearly to you at the outset and, once you have agreed, confirm everything in writing. We will also make sure there are no hidden surprises or costs, bringing you total clarity.
What services do you offer to support customers who are dealing with legal issues, or are facing bereavement?
It is incredibly difficult to know where to start when your loved one passes away. Simply trying to cope and deal with the loss and emotional burden in itself, can be physically and mentally draining. On top of this, there are the important legal, financial and administrative duties that need to be addressed at this time and, whilst it is difficult to do so, it is really important at this stage to understand and prepare for the practical things that you need to do and how to prioritise them. This is where we can help.
Our experienced Bereavement Team has extensive experience of dealing with such sensitive matters. We understand the pain and hurt that you and your other loved ones are going through and can bring you the peace of mind and provide the professional support and guidance you need. Your personal legal advisor will handle the bereavement process on your behalf from start to finish, allowing you to focus on your family and friends at this difficult time.
Describe a situation that was particularly challenging for a client, and how you helped them through this difficulty?
In 2021, Jones Whyte acquired another law firm, and its bank of will and trust clients. The communication, marketing, new relationships and ongoing support to clients during this time was particularly challenging. Our ability to put our clients need first meant that we did much work behind the scenes to ensure a streamlined service, constantly taking on feedback to guarantee our clients were our first priority and keeping thousands of clients informed throughout.
What are the benefits to customers of Adroit for using your business?
Jones Whyte has a clear purpose, which is supported by a number of core values, our promise and approach.
Focusing on understanding and helping our clients, we always strive to “respond and resolve our client’s needs, supporting and helping them throughout their lives”.
Our purpose is driven and supported by a set of core values. These values underpin everything we do and are built around our promise to always ‘respond, resolve and support’.
We will always:
- Respond quickly, in the most effective and efficient way.
- Resolve issues, concerns or problems by working collectively as a team.
- Support and provide a great service that always exceeds expectations.
- What three words would describe your customer service and approach?
- Respond, Resolve & Support
